Rogers & Stephens Omnimedia, Inc. Acquires Expat Records

Clearwater, Florida,  - July 5th, 2013 – The assets of Expat Records and Expat Publishing have been acquired by the Florida based multimedia firm Rogers & Stephens Omnimedia, Inc. (R & S). “Expat Records pioneered many of the marketing and distribution techniques artists and labels take for granted today” said James Waterson, an R & S spokesman, Waterson continued, “Jeff  (Jeffrey Libby, founder of Expat Records and Expat Publishing) and his team built one of the world’s largest independent record labels in a relatively short period of time…we appreciate all they have accomplished and look forward to working with them during the transition so we can best serve our artists moving forward”.

“I had a lot of offers when I decided to sell the label and publishing companies’ assests, but chose to go with R & S mainly because of the passion I sensed they were passionate about the industry and understood the label’s true potential” said Libby. The fact that Rich (Richard Rogers C.E.O. & Founder of R & S) is going to personally oversee the label sealed the deal”, Libby continued, “Rich has a proven track record of building successful businesses…R & S has the production equipment, personnel and facilites to help take Expat to the next level. Libby also states, “I want to thank the artists, and everyone who believed in the vision of Expat Records, and wish them all nothing but the best”.

Expat Records has a large and diverse roster of artists and catalog of music. The Expat Records website is being redesigned and there are other modifications being made as well. “The next step is to reach out to our artists”, said Waterson who went on to say, “There are some very talented people on the roster and want to learn more about them and their goals”.

Expat Records has already inked a deal to produce a new online show entitled, “Take 5″. The show will air on; a popular music video social network. “That deal was important to me”, said Rich Rogers new C.E.O. of Expat Records. Rogers continued, “…we are taking steps to ensure that our artists have access to the tools and resources they need for true success.  We want to partner with our artists and help guide them through the entire process; from recording to release, going for ads and touring. Our focus is developing the artists properly so they have an opportunity to meet or exceed their goals. It’s a fun time here at Expat”.
